Test page 2 - AutoFill works for any application!
The main idea:
You have to do it one time manually - TraySafe will work for you always!
Ok - lets rock!
- Create new account in TraySafe software (for example, on the base of the template "Account") with help of the menu item Accounts -> New item. Name it, for example, as Test2.
- Fill the input fields of this account with next values:
Login: test
Password: test
and uncheck all other insert fields (field "Notes", if you have used template "Account").
- Click on this link - it should lead you to the "secret page", protected by basic authentication procedure.
- With the right mouse button click open TraySafe menu in the system tray and click on the newly
created account (Default.pwd -> Test2). TraySafe icon in the tray will start to blink.
That means that TraySafe is ready to fill any dialog of any application which you will specify to the program by next sequential
mouse clicks.
- Click with left mouse button into the Login field and then into the Password field - they should be
filled by TraySafe. Then TraySafe will suggest you to save this filling sequence. If you agree (you'll press button "Yes"),
next time when you'll try to enter the protected page, the authentication dialog box's input fields will be filled automatically.
THAT IS ALL!
You do not need to fill this authentication dialog more - TraySafe will do it automatically!
Note: this method works for any Window applications!
Troubleshooting
To correct filling procedure for account you need to remove all information about filling.
Select account and press Main menu -> Accounts -> Clear insert history if the history exists.
Also you can learn much more about autofilling in the installed TraySafe Help at the page Using TraySafe -> Operations overview -> Automatic form filling.
A lot of suitable features can be found in TraySafe. Look demos for more!
