'Forgot password' problem is solved by TraySafe!

To cure users from forgotten passwords TraySafe provides users with suitable feature: hardware password. This feature is aimed at protection of password file and provides correct decryption only for user that encrypts this password file. By this protection TraySafe can relieve users from forgot password problem. It can be reached by generation unique password based on hardware configuration and current user name. This string will be hashed and the result will be add to password used for encryption and decryption. TraySafe uses crypto scheme without any backdoors it is impossible to recover password and restore hardware hash - it can be generated only on one computer in the world.

To use this feature you need only to switch on checkbox "Use hardware hash" below password field on the password prompt form.

This feature was designed for suitable feature: Constant password for file. Positive features of constant password mode:

• You do not need to enter password every time for each file on start or opening file.
• You can use hardware password and this file can be opened correctly only on your computer within your login session.

Note: If you change hardware configuration of your computer, TraySafe will not open your files! Thus we recommend using backup without hardware hash to have a possibility to recover encrypted data.
