Password Reminder
Once you enter the password for file, then you and only you have to know it to open - the rule of safe protection of information
in password files.
TraySafe says: "Nobody even you can open the password file without right password!"
TraySafe uses algorithms without any backdoors to check, is provided password is right or not.
Any password will be used and the result of decryption will be parsed to find accounts' structure -
more about decryption you can find at encryption/decryption page.
The only way to recover password for TraySafe password file is the usage of reminded message.
For any file you can provide a hint which can help you to remember the password.
This message can be recovered by TraySafe without the password for any file.
Beware: Don't write the full description of the password because anyone can see this message with TraySafe!
Example:
Password: Roses
Bad reminded message: my favorite sort of flowers. Starts with the capital letter, plural.
Why is it a bad one?
- All your friends know the answer.
- "A sort of flowers" decreases a narrow set of possible passwords.
- It describes the style of spelling.
Good reminded message: They have the same color as my dreams.

To set reminded message for opened file use Main menu\File\Set reminded message.
To get a reminded message for file use Main menu\File\Remind password for file.
After getting a message you will be provided with possibility to open the password file.
You have an unlimited number of attempts to open the password file -
TraySafe will not block it after defined number of attempts because the encryption
scheme is strong. Also TraySafe avoids possible corruption of the password file with important information - you will
be provided with a warning message if the file is corrupted by someone.
