TraySafe client survey
TraySafe supports TCP/IP connection through network to provide password sharing for the small offices.
Any TraySafe Business version (registered or not) is capable to connect to TraySafe password server and
get the password for defined user.
To connect client to password server you need to create a new connection on other (or the same) started version of TraySafe.
(Only Business versions of TraySafe can create connections to password servers).
Select Main menu\File\New\New connection... from menu.
In provided dialogue you need to enter remote password server name, remote password server port, username and password.
After connection you will get a new opened password file in the files' tree or error description. To handle with error
description ask administrator about help:
- Unable to connect to server - it is impossible to connect to server.
Reason: Server is not active or remote post is wrong. Ask network administrator for opened and allowed ports.
- Server did not activate any password file - server started, but no file activated.
Reason:Ask password server owner to activate correct password file as server.
- No user registered for current server - for current password file there is no user with such a login name.
Reason: Maybe a wrong password file was activated.
- Wrong password for user for current server file User was found but a provided password was wrong.
Reason: Try to reopen connection with correct password or ask administrator for correct or new password.
- Wrong command ID - wrong command ID was provided by client to server.
Reason: Contact developers.
Opened connections are displayed in the file tree as ordinary files with name [server:port]. After TraySafe restarting
opened connections will be saved and opened on start if correspondent TraySafe server is activated.
