TraySafe automation options

TraySafe password manager: automation options' page

  • Hide to the tray on the insert mode activation
    Checked option allows TraySafe application to minimize into the tray after the activation of insert mode from the main window. Uncheck this option if you have another insertion mode.
    Default: checked

  • Apply the insert mode after the account application start
    Checked option allows starting application and inserting accounts' data into the correspondent fields quite after start without any additional clicks or hotkeys.
    Default: checked

  • Use the self-learning mode for accounts
    If this mode is active then TraySafe tracks mouse clicks to enter accounts data and saves for further automation - read options below to get more.
    Default: checked

    • Insert the password automatically using history
      If this mode is active then TraySafe uses information about previous password insertions made by user and executes necessary mouse moves and pastes all information into edits.
      Default: checked

      • Insert the password automatically into the foreground window
        With the help of this mode user can get fully automated insertion procedure - TraySafe tracks all windows and checks if the user applies his registration information from any account of opened password files; password manager executes insertion based on history information of such accounts.
        Default: checked

      • Prevent autoinsertion by holding CTRL button
        If user opens the form which could be filled by TraySafe, s/he can prevent that automation by holding down CTRL button.
        Default: checked

  • Clear buffer after XXX minutes
    To prevent password steal from the Windows clipboard, TraySafe empties it after specified time, if the password still presents there.
    Default: 5 mins

  • Lock the application after XXX minutes
    If the user doesn't type any symbol and doesn't move mouse cursor for defined period of time, TraySafe thinks that the user goes away and protects opened accounts by locking its interface - without password you can only exit from TraySafe or enter password to unlock TraySafe and continue to use accounts' information.
    Default: 5 mins

    • Change unlock password
      Password to unlock TraySafe from locking state.
      Note: By default unlock password is empty string - it is strongly recommended to change password on yours as soon as possible.
      Default: Empty password

  • File association with *.PWD files
    TraySafe uses *.pwd files as password files. With this option user can associate pwd extension with TraySafe password manager in Windows. So, after start of any *.pwd file TraySafe starts and opens started file.
    Default: checked

  • TraySafe buttons on the Internet Explorer toolbar
    TraySafe integrates into Microsoft Internet Explorer to provide its additional function for web pages. After integration you can find TraySafe button on Internet Explorer toolbar and TraySafe menu items in its main menu.
    Default: unchecked

  • Intercept passwords of Internet Explorer
    If this mode is active, TraySafe suggests to save every filled password form in the current password file.
    Default: checked
