Hardware Password

TraySafe provides users with suitable feature: hardware password. This feature is aimed at protection of password file and provides correct decryption only for user that encrypts this password file. It can be reached by generation unique password based on hardware configuration and current user name. This string will be hashed and the result will be add to password used for encryption and decryption. TraySafe uses crypto scheme without any backdoors it is impossible to recover password and restore hardware hash - it can be generated only at the one computer in the world.

To use this feature you need only to switch on checkbox "Use hardware hash" below password field on the password prompt form.

Note: If you change hardware configuration of your computer, TraySafe will not open your files! Thus we recommend using backup without hardware hash to have a possibility to recover encrypted data.
